Cadence of Hyrule

#1

Post by Calamity Panfan » Fri Jun 14, 2019 4:38 pm

Brace Yourself Games were given the Zelda license to make a Crypt of the Necrodancer game set in Hyrule featuring remixed Zelda music. It came out this week!

I just bought it and played a few minutes of it. Very fun. I never played the original Necrodancer but heard nothing but good things. This is apparently MUCH easier than that one, though I've already died a couple times while getting used to the rhythm mechanic and not paying close enough attention to enemy patterns.

I'm really excited to play some more later. I think this should be enough to give me my Zelda fix until September.

Haven't played it myself, but the music slaps.

Hmmm... Was interested in this, but not for $25. The original game never really grabbed me and I got the impression this is smaller. Definitely didn't expect it to cost more than the original did at launch.

Money's tight what with house-buying right now, so I chose to only get one of either Collection of Mana or Cadence of Hyrule. I went with Mana first. But as soon as I sign the papers and close on that house, Cadence of Hyrule is an instant purchase.

^Pretty sure he goes to Berklee, which is confusingly on the other side of the country from and has nothing to do with California Berkley. Unless I'm derping and that's where AJ went.

Yeah. Decent chance I've walked by the guy at some point, but nothing to do with California.

I like telling people I went to Berkeley for music, because it sounds much more impressive when people assume I mean Berklee, and not UC Berkeley which is very math/science oriented and has a tiny music department by comparison looooool

So I got some gifts yesterday and used some of them to buy Cadence of Hyrule. Just played a few minutes, but I can tell I'm going to love it.

Tbh I spent my time there in the record stores so going to Berkeley for music is legit
