'Psychonauts was one of my faves on the oldest of Xboxes, man. I'm glad they're actually doing a sequel. I would have been fine with it being a one-off, but I trust Double-Fine to do a new one.
Like, this might sound weird, but hear me out. I feel like 'Psychonauts' was the spiritual sequel to 'Banjo-Kazooie' that 'Banjo-Tooie' and 'Donkey Kong 64' and 'Yooka-Laylee' emphatically were not. Like, 'Psychonauts' and 'Ratchet and Clank' and 'Jak and Daxter', they had a real snap to them. They were crisp. They didn't feel like a chore. Compare to 'Donkey Kong 64'. Going through every inch of every level with all five Kongs, lest you miss something. Or 'Banjo-Tooie', with its endless backtracking. Think 'Psychonauts' struck that sweet spot of collecting and exploring, same as BK did.
