Oh, I beat Nuts and Bolts as well as one can expect. It has some good points to it, but it's boring in a lot of ways I can't overlook. You could do worse, really.

^^Well, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it as much as I do, but congrats on finishing it. Must feel good, finally getting N&B off the old to-do list.

Haven't started my game. Window's closing-------------like, on top of time running out, I feel bad about sitting here playing games when the kids aren't asleep. Pretty much just leaves me Wednesday night.

Family > Gentlemen's challenge. No worries if you don't get to it.

Wow, I had no idea that Portal was so short. I started playing at around midnight last night and was up until 2. I had to call it a night but I'm right at the end. Will finish tonight after work. Is Portal 2 also this short?

Portal 2 is a bit longer, I think.

Ended up finishing Portal during my lunch break. Good stuff! Kinda wish there was a bit more but that's what Portal 2 is for. I already finished 3 of the 6 Advanced Courses. Going to play the rest later today too.

Playing Portal makes me want to go back and finish Antichamber.

I think it's important to remember that one of the reasons Portal is so short is because it was originally just an additional game on the Orange Box. I've never heard or read anything about this, but I wouldn't be surprised if the success of Portal caught Valve completely off guard.

Ohhh riiiiight. I forgot about that. I do remember reading now a long time ago how Portal was an unexpected hit.

So the game had been much better about not grinding to a halt, but now these people won't shut the hell up about the logistics of getting this boat going. The dialogue is so repetitive, and they stop after every sentence to animate a reaction to what was just said.

I've only gotten to the House of Gales, but to be fair I've collected a majority of sidequest content in Hyrule.

Finished off Golden Sun just now. I didn't get the last Venus djinn, but I got the others. The dialogue scenes could really have used some tightening up, but when that wasn't slowing me down the game was pretty fun. Neat combat system. I didn't much experiment with mixing the djinn between my party except when I needed grow, so not sure what I missed out on there. That said, I don't expect I'll pick up the other games in the series, despite the "to be continued" ending.

^Nice! I'm glad you powered through despite not being a big fan of the cutscenes.

IMO, the first game is the best game anyway. The Lost Age is pretty cool because you get to play as Felix, Jenna, and Sheba (and a rando Mercury adept), but all told, it's not quite as good as the first.

Yeah so like I said I finished Portal. Quick fun. Loved it. I finished the Advanced Courses and tried to do the Challenges but holy hell - the challenges are called challenges for a reason.

I went ahead playing Portal 2 the very next day. I had pretty much bought all the major Valve games from the summer sale. Portal 2 is SUPER fun. So funny. I would have finished it too but the third act is quite long. I thought it was going to end at these two parts but it didn't - it just kept going. Not that I'm complaining. I've been away for the weekend and all I've been thinking about is getting back home to finish playing it.

Glad you liked it. Be sure to try out the multi-player stuff on Portal 2. It's some pretty good content.
