I haven't finished this game but from what I've seen and feel, especially after hearing the lyrics to Jump Up Superstar, I have this head canon where like Mario realizes Pauline still harbors feelings for him and so in the end he gets back with her and Luigi gets with Princess Peach, who ends up finding Luigi's shyness much more endearing.Booyakasha wrote: ↑Thu Mar 08, 2018 1:00 amSo, bump.
I haven't played 'Super Mario Odyssey' at all, but I've seen some footage, and I'm pleased to see Pauline in there. They could very easily have forgotten about her entirely, right, but there she is, in a significant role. I like that.
It's the little things that matter.

And I guess Daisy gets thrown to Wario while Waluigi cries himself to sleep?ScottyMcGee wrote: ↑Fri Mar 09, 2018 5:07 pmI haven't finished this game but from what I've seen and feel, especially after hearing the lyrics to Jump Up Superstar, I have this head canon where like Mario realizes Pauline still harbors feelings for him and so in the end he gets back with her and Luigi gets with Princess Peach, who ends up finding Luigi's shyness much more endearing.Booyakasha wrote: ↑Thu Mar 08, 2018 1:00 amSo, bump.

Too bad Pauline, Peach, and Rosalina are basically the same character.Booyakasha wrote: ↑Thu Mar 08, 2018 1:00 amI haven't played 'Super Mario Odyssey' at all, but I've seen some footage, and I'm pleased to see Pauline in there. Donkey Kong Jr has been back all this time. The original Donkey Kong is actually Cranky Kong in the DKC games...so it's a grown up Jr who is actually in the role of Donkey Kong in those games.X-3 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 08, 2018 1:40 amIt's time for Donkey Kong Junior to return. He would return as the older, jaded Fedora Kong, and become Mario's rival in Super Mario Odyssey 2: Also sprach Zarathustra. Just imagine the pure pathos this storyline could bring to the Mario mythos.

I would just like to take this moment to appreciate the sheer personality of the menu text in Tales of Zestiria. Most notably all the enemy book entries that are written in-character for MULTIPLE party members. That is a **LOT** of personalized menu text, and I am grateful for it.
