Guess it's just you and me, @ScottyMcGee

How about playing Timesplitters?

I made it to Chapter 5 before getting interrupted by travel. I'll probably finish it.

I never played the original TimeSplitters and I'm kind of underwhelmed at how it feels like an unfinished game. The story is scant. The levels are sparse. My adolescence consists of playing TimeSplitters 2 a billion times and unlocking everything. The "story" in the original TimeSplitters is only "Get X thing and bring back here." It's only 2 years older than TimeSplitters 2 but feels like it's older. I'm frankly surprised the original was popular enough to warrant a sequel. The sequel kicked the original's butt in everything.

It's also holy f***balls hard. I don't remember TimeSplitters 2 being so hard on Normal mode. In the original TimeSplitters, Normal mode is like Hard mode. I tried the first level on Normal mode and it becomes insanely difficult once you pick up the item and try to return to the rendezvous point. So I resorted to playing on Easy Mode and then next thing I knew. . .I finished the game? That's it? Oh well, at least there are Challenges to do.

I hate it when games have that weird Easy Mode that is super easy and then Normal Mode is more more like Hard Mode. Then I also hate it when games have Normal Mode that feel like "Super easy" mode. I'm also experiencing that with Diablo III. I've never played a Diablo game before and figured I'd start out with Normal Mode. Oh man. I could be slipping into a coma and still finish this game.

Nah. Thanks for the invite, but the kids are home. Wouldn't be right to hole up playing some garbagey 360 game when I should be spoiling them all rotten instead.

Might regret it, but things are cooling off so let's do this again.
  • We Know The Devil- Only reason this is here is because I had it picked on Fortune Cookie via the Backloggery but I seem to not want to? It's a visual novel horror game so keep that in mind.
  • Undertale- Haha... Ha. Only Pacifist if I get this one picked. You know why.
  • Cloudbuilt- Run along walls and stuff. Could be fun!
  • Shantae: Risky's Revenge- Played the first, now it's time to play the second!
  • Jet Set Radio- JET SET RADIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  • Curse of the Crescent Isle DX- Not sure how long this one could be but... it's a platform game with a pixel aesthetic. Can't be too long, right?
  • Mighty Switch Force- Puzzle Game that might be enjoyable. we'll see.
  • Another Metroid 2 Remake- Man, all these Metroid 2 remakes. So many. Guess I'll just pick this one.
  • SMT Syncronicity- Good Metroidvania? We'll see.
  • Super Cosplay War Infinite- Fighting game! In order to count this as beaten I have to beat the Story mode with each character and Battle Royal mode with the bosses. We'll see how I do.
Decide my fate.

Let's do me->Scotty->Tazy->Me. As always, anyone else can still join late.

Scotty, I'm curious how a GBA fighting game works. Let's go with Tekken Advance.

Ok.

How about you learn to use boolets wisely and play some Metro 2033, IAN. I heard there are singing pipes down there.

Played the first hour and then realized it was kind of dumb to replay this instead of just picking up Redux whenever it goes on sale again. So let's pretend I didn't have that on my list. Mind picking again?
