Finished. I didn't end up doing 100% because I realized I've beaten Veni, Vidi, Vici twice before, so I don't have anything to prove, and nobody can make me do that again. Still a great game even if that particular room can go die.

May have made a mistake putting FFIX on my list. I’ve played an hour and a half. Whoops.

...I could challenge you to something else, if you like.

What kind of challenge would this be, if it were just about making each other miserable.

FF9 is a slow starter, probably not a good choice to play without being specifically in the mood for an RPG. It is one of the reasons I never get far trying to replay it.

I’m not miserable at all! I’m enjoying it. I just am having trouble finding the time, that’s all.

I’ll keep plugging away. No biggie.

The PC port had an option to turn all the random encounters off, which necessitated also making all the non-random encounters die in one hit. No chance I would've finished that game on the intended settings.

The Switch port has those options too, as well as a 2x speed toggle. I..........might start using those. (Except I still won’t finish on time for the challenge, lol)

Those sound like good additions, I hope the other releases have them too.

The whole thing took me 14 hours with those on, so between them and 2x speed (didn't use that one), you could probably get it under 10.

...guys, it's hard to tell, but I think ML is miserable. Really unhappy. The game is clearly causing him deep emotional pain. Sorrow imbues his every post here on the forums. I could swear I hear 'Not in Nottingham' playing somewhere in the background.

If you actually want to be miserable, I'd be happy to challenge you to FF13 next round.

There's a reason I haven't reentered this challenge. I STILL haven't finished FFIX and I was challenged more than a year ago! I have the Steam port though so it's a matter of finding the time to play it.

Relatedly, I'm still working on FFVI for the other challenge lmao

well, I got to Disc 2 of FFIX, so that's pretty cool. It's fun and I'm enjoying it! Probably won't come close to FFVI or FFV for me, but hey, I'm glad I'm playing it.

May is crazy busy. I'll have to bow out and keep chipping away at FFIX when I get the rare chances to do so.

Looks like it's just us, @Booyakasha

My list is:
Spoiler.
Okami HD
Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD
The Amber Throne
Analogue: A Hate Story/Hate Plus
Anodyne
BioShock Infinite: Burial At Sea
Memoria
Shadowrun: Hong Kong
Sleeping Dogs
Knights of the Old Republic
To the Moon
Total War: Shogun 2
VVVVVV
Why am I Dead at Sea
Uncharted 2
Remember Me
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World
Super Galaxy Squadron EX Turbo
Titan Souls
I don't see anything that's actually good in the 360 part of your list, so, uh, Rogue Warrior? That one at least looks funny.

You should check out 'Knights of the Old Republic'. I have a feeling you're going to hate Bastila's filthy guts. I know I did. She's a mean hateful little rat-fart.

I don't remember KotoR's party having much going for out outside of HK-47. I *think* I at least remember most of their names, but IMO BioWare didn't really figure out party characters until Mass Effect. Jade Empire's was pretty boring when I replayed that for an earlier round as well.

Still, I think this'll be my fourth playthrough, so clearly I liked it a lot years ago. Hopefully it holds up better than JE. We've got till 5/24.

...and it doesn't run. Saw some warnings that it might be a bit janky on Windows 10, but I can't even get it to start. So let's pretend I didn't have that on the list. >_>
