Cuphead

After a very long and troubled development, Cuphead was released this last Friday for Windows and Xbox One. It's an indie run-and-gun platformer stylistically based of of 1930s cartoons, with an emphasis on unique and challenging boss fights.

I'm not a big shooter fan, but everyone I've talked to who has played it loves it, and there's no denying it looks absolutely amazing. I really admire how much work was put into the game's graphics, and I really dig the jazzy soundtrack. Anyone plan on picking this up?

I'll probably pick it up during the winter sale, but what I've seen of the gameplay so far has me expecting that I'll end up refunding it. Visuals aside, the levels they were showing off before release didn't look like anything special.

I hope to own and play this game eventually, but it won't happen for a while. Maybe when it drops with a Humble Bundle or something.

Still, it looks amazing, and I'm glad it's finally out.

Our friends had it Friday. Visually, it's amazing. It's pretty addictive too. We liked it.

I plan on buying it as soon as money allows (which sadly won't be for now).

I played it for an hour or two. It's cute and pretty fun.

Funny when you keep hearing about a particular game several times in a row. I first heard about this game actually in my last issue of Game Informer. Then someone on FB. Now this. It caught my eye and I really want to play it now.

I'm only on the third boss and I've already thrown my controller.

Definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of Contra or Metal Slug style run-and-guns.
