Apparently, faeries count differently... today is the 13th day since the plane disappeared... perhaps into another dimension... >.>

But in real news...
LOCKERBIE EXPERT SAYS CREW WERE TRYING TO SAVE PLANE

As the investigation into the missing flight continues, theories as to what happened continue to be expounded.

Late last week Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak told the world’s media that the plane was purposely diverted from its course — leading to a flurry of hijacking theories — but a British aviation expert who was a key witness in the Pan Am Lockerbie bombing trial has now discredited those ideas.

The former head of the UK’S Federal Aviation Authority, Billie Vincent, told the Telegraphthat he believed the plane suffered a “catastrophic event” over the Gulf of Thailand. The pilots would have been looking for a safe place to land as the cabin filled with smoke, he said.

“As opposed to being hijackers, the crew were heroically trying to save the aeroplane, save themselves and the passengers when this catastrophe hit,” he told the paper.

I really liked the Pulau Langkwai theory, but it apparently doesn't work:

http://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-echochambers-26640114

Basically we know the plane was turned sharply after overshooting Langkwai and it couldn't possibly have reached the known location at 8:11 AM (either over Central Asia or the southern Indian Ocean) with unconscious pilots. The mystery continues.

Yes, most theories are being discounted which narrows down the real reason for the disappearance...

Today's headlines are rehashing possible theories and broadcasting a possible sighting of debris. Whether that turns out to be the missing plane is yet to be confirmed. Also speculation that the US are the source of the pictures of the debris online.

It clearly went through an inter-dimensional time vortex but no doubt they will plant some wreckage somewhere to make it look like an regular kind of accident. They're taking their time to decide where it will be located exactly while they're hatching a plausible story.

More than two months has gone by, and still... no news...

Missing flight MH370: No one knows what happened to plane, says Malaysian PM Najib Razak
“The disappearance of the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 flight on March 8 has been one of the most extraordinary events ever to befall Malaysia – and one of the world’s greatest aviation mysteries,” Mr Najib said.

Mr Najib said one of the most astonishing things about the tragedy is the revelation that an airliner the size of a Boeing 777 could vanish, almost without trace.

“In an age of smartphones and mobile internet, real-time tracking of commercial airplanes is long overdue,” he said.

Missing Malaysia Airlines plane: Scientists question methods and the politics of the MH370 search

UNDERWATER scientists have labelled the search for MH370 a “debacle” and say Prime Minister Tony Abbott was playing politics when he prematurely announced the black box pingers had been found.
The acoustic experts, who do not wish to be identified, said the four crucial signals detected by a US pinger locator were almost certainly not from the missing Malaysian Airlines plane’s black boxes, but from another man-made source.

They insisted that the signals were in the wrong frequency and detected too far apart to be from the boxes.

“As soon as I saw the frequency and the distance between the pings I knew it couldn’t be the aircraft pinger,” one scientist told News Corp Australia.

That conclusion is supported by the lack of success from a detailed search of the area conducted by the US deep sea drone ‘Bluefin 21’.

This will take a very long time...

MH370 not in Indian Ocean search zone
The missing Malaysia Airlines plane is not in the Indian Ocean search zone where acoustic "pings" were detected, search co-ordinators have confirmed.

"The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) has advised that the search in the vicinity of the acoustic detections can now be considered complete and in its professional judgment, the area can now be discounted as the final resting place of MH370," the Joint Agency Co-ordination Centre said on Thursday.

JACC announced on April 7 that a pinger locator towed from the Australian navy vessel Ocean Shield had picked up two acoustic signals, with one held for more than two hours.

At the time, it described the signals as consistent with flight data or cockpit voice recorders, the most promising lead yet and likely from a man-made source.

Two days later, two more signals were detected, holding for about five and seven minutes.

JACC's statement on Thursday came hours after CNN reported that the search had gone back to square one, citing US Navy deputy director of ocean engineering Michael Dean as saying the pings came from some other man-made source unrelated to MH370.

The SAR will continue off the coast of Western Australia and it's likely going to take a literal miracle to find this plane.

Bummer. I wouldn't doubt if ocean currents took the remains of it far and away, although it seems just as likely that it went practically anywhere else. I'm sure the world over feels as sympathetic to the loss of those relatives of the passengers and crew onboard that flight as do I, but I can't help but feel there's no sense to be made of the whole thing.
I muttered 'light as a board, stiff as a feather' for 2 days straight and now I've ascended, ;aughing at olympus and zeus is crying
