Just... why Rabbids?[/QUOTE]
I can't imagine any other Ubisoft IP working with Mario...

... except for, you know, Rayman himself.

The intro cutscene, if you're interested.

This is my first experience with Rabbids and ****, they really are like Minions, aren't they?

I'm a little interested, it only because it's basically XCOM and I'd like for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to not be my only worthwhile Switch game. That said, I don't like Rabbis, really don't like Ubisoft, and there's already loads (including real XCOM) coming out in the next month, so I probably won't get around to it for quite some time.

I've been hearing good things about this game, particularly the Kirkhope OST. I'll have to give that a listen.

I watched some footage and the makers of this game seem to be under the strange impression that people... like? the rabbids?

The actual game looks fun though.

Color me surprised.

Probably not gonna get it due to the subject matter but the fact that it's apparently good isn't something I was expecting.

I mean, I actually had high expectations for this game when it was revealed that it was basically Mario XCOM.

I have watched some promotional videos out of a sort of curiousity, and despite the Ubisoft branding I'm surprised to say that it actually looks more like the Rabbids are just along for the ride and it's actually a Mario game for the most part. The gameplay looked solid-ish, like a sort of Mario 3D World but with more shooting in a kind of Smash TV style.
I muttered 'light as a board, stiff as a feather' for 2 days straight and now I've ascended, ;aughing at olympus and zeus is crying

Yeah I checked out some gameplay and surprisingly the game looks pretty fun. I'll have to check it out whenever I pick up a Switch.

I picked it up, played through the first world so far, and I'm really enjoying it. It's surprisingly deep and challenging. It's not just a kid-friendly version of XCOM.

And I totally understand why people find the Rabbids annoying, but so far (maybe except for the opening cutscene) they've been pretty tolerable, even funny sometimes. I'm not above some good slapstick.
