I gave up on Nintendo's internal properties when everybody else's games become so much more affordable and available on systems other companies actually support, so I don't have much insight into them. Mario Kart Wii is 10 years old on a system that has been dead for years, but it still costs $40. No thank you. Sega will happily sell me their just as good clone for a fraction of the cost, and I don't have to buy a special system just for it.
Competition is a good thing. It's a chance to crush people.

I definitely agree about the pricing structure, but I do think that in this age of near-infinite content it's nice to see long-standing mascots return (but I can see why others wouldn't agree). =)

^^ Yeah, Sonic Racing is pretty much just as good as Mario Kart, but I think that is because I like Sonic as a character. Some people don't so I can see them avoiding it for that reason. I'm not sure anyone dislikes Mario.
