Referring back to OP, though, yeah the 2nd amendment is actually only for muskrats

Turns out the constitution was mostly for pet stores

Any mental illness? So someone tries to get help for depression and they lose their rights? Or just extreme schizophrenia types?

would think it depends on the severity. I'm sure if you have mild depression or anxiety it would be fine. More severe mental illnesses, especially if one has a history of suicidal thoughts/actions, may be turned down.
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

I don't think we're at a slippery slope with that one.

Even if we are, there's going to be a way to get a waiver that would allow you to still get a license to carry. HOW we don't know yet but I'm guessing it's gonna be psychiatric exam of some description.

I can't say Tumblr sucks though, because Tumblr isn't the problem. I'd honestly rather be a twit than give the worst of Tumblr any respect.

Strange that you seem so up in arms about that term in particular though.

You want me to proclaim that Gamergate, all former and current supporters, are misogynists that would rather defend underage pornography in order to "defend free speech"?

No?

Then don't use that stupid word

Who defends child pornography in the name of free speech? I don't believe that. Well, aside from NAMBLA or some such, probably.

Holy **** I am talking about this use of slurring web communities just to make your ego swell. It's the same reason behind using "sjw", all you're doing is vomiting out a buzzword in order to mock a group that is made prominently of people seeking equality, and yet no, you're just going to keep doing it. Want to try to put me down now, try to ridicule me? And hey, I'm a woman so that'll give you even more credit, stick it to those feminazis on tumblr so you can make your little "joaks".

There is quite a difference between "seeking equality" and "pushing teenagers to suicide" or "sending people pictures of gore for supporting fictional relationships you don't like". You know, last time I checked.

You're still doing it. We're done here, pointless for me to argue this with a brick wall.

Loot, do you even realize that SJWs spew more buzzwords than anyone?

The buzzwords and insults discussion is too far off topic from the 2nd Amendment. Needs a new thread if you guys want to keep going in that direction.

Slippery slope is misused too often, in my view. It can lead to a faulty conclusion, but that is not necessarily so. Things can be reasonably predicted based on one event leading to another, particularly when you are talking about people and groups with objectives. The people that constantly use it to negate their opposition fall into it themselves. The fact is, there really can be a slippery slope. What if someone were to say we should ban all religion? Would it be "slippery slope" to say that it would lead to persecution of religious people? If guns are increasingly restricted and controlled, is it out of the question that measures that make them easier to confiscate will not be used to take them away in the future? And this is in light of what has happened elsewhere. If you do not think ahead in these matters that effect whole countries, then nothing done will amount to much good.

The mental illness thing could possibly be used against gun owners, but I find this unlikely. But it should be remembered that certain communist regimes often used mental illness as a pretext to get certain people out of the way. In the USSR, they often had psychiatrists sign off on someone's insanity for going against the Party, and the dissenter would then be carted off to a mental institution or reeducation camp. And with controlled media, it is easy to portray a dissenter as merely being insane. It is not like this has never been used before, but the US is not yet at that stage, I hope.
