Dr. Robert L. Spitzer, who helped destigmatized homosexuality, passes away

Among all other things he was the one behind removing homosexuality from the DSM and the effort to stop having homosexuality being treated as a mental illness.

He's done a lot for the field of psychology as well, not least of which was create methods we use to classify mental disorders today.

A lot of people would be lost without him.

He supposedly made big contributions concerning bipolar disorder, as well. What a day to die, on Christmas.
