MSN's 100 Most Popular Rock Bands

Clicky
This list is a bit different from other similar ones that have come up in the past; it's making no claims whatsoever about quality, only popularity.
Even then, though, the qualifying criteria are a bit suspect--it includes Spotify ranking (Neil Young famously boycotted Spotify for years, & correspondingly, none of his bands made the list) and Wikipedia article views (which doesn't really have to do with popularity), but no mention is made of radio/jukebox play or live ticket sales (all of which are trackable). And, of course, there's the bothersome little fact that Abba isn't a rock band.
The slide show gives sales/Billboard/Wikipedia/Spotify stats for each artist, but here's the raw list:

Spoiler.

Nickelback is the definition of Lowest Common Denominator. Their stuff was eeeeeeverywhere and still gets played despite what the internet says about them.
