5. Garfield's Halloween Special. It's pretty tops if you haven't seen it, and my number one go-to for the holiday.

6. Saw
Not a masterpiece, but gets me in a horror mood and I used to have an October habit of watching the new films in theater when they came out. The original isn't as gory or ridiculous as the sequels, though even they can be guilty pleasures.

For that matter,
9. Day of the Dead (1985)
This one gets compared unfavorably to the previous two films, but it might be my favorite of Romero's zombie flics. The special effects in particular were fantastic (as far as low-budget zombie movies go).
