One Credit Contest #16: Metal Slug 2

Post by mushroom » Mon Apr 24, 2017 6:09 pm

Hello and welcome to the One Credit Contest!! It's a competition to see who can get the farthest in a game on a single credit. This week, we will be playing the SNK classic, Metal Slug 2!

Image

Tha rulez:

-No cheats, cheat devices, or passwords
-No save states, slowdowns or other emulator tools
-No continuing
-US or Japanese version is acceptable, no PAL
-Real hardware or emulation are both acceptable

Simply post your score in the following form:

Code: Select all

Name - Stage # - Score
A screen shot is optional. We're all adults here, so I expect everyone to be honest about the numbers that appear on their 30 year old video game when they post about it on a video game message board.

I will maintain a leader board in this post, and about one week from now the winner will be decided. Progress is measured by stages completed, then by score as a tiebreaker. The winner gets to choose our next game.

Code: Select all

Leaderboard
1 - Valigarmander - Stage 4 - 1376380
2 - mushroom - Stage 4 - 877700
You may post new scores as often as you wish. Have fun!

P.S. If anyone has any trouble obtaining or running the game, please let me know! I will be glad to help!

So, do we only get one try? If we die, we can't try again to get a better score?

You can post new scores as often as you wish.

Half the fun of the contest is seeing people progress, and seeing yourself progress.

Alright, how about BurgerTime for the NES? It's simple, it's fun, it doesn't take long to play, and it seems like something a lot of people could enjoy.
