at this point like 1/2 the animes about cute girls end up with them dying because they're all trying to copy madoka magica but don't understand why it was good and are just trying to be edgy and dark

what was the anime about the train crossing though?

Have you watched this new show called Magical Girl Site? It's airing right now, and it is the most tryhard, edgelord show I've seen since King's Game.

The train crossing show (I think it might be called "Crossing Time") is just a short (three minute episodes) about girls having cute conversations while waiting at a train crossing. There's only one episode out right now, but I'll watch almost anything that's shortform.

to be fair, you probably shouldn't go into any sort of action anime expecting no one to die. if you want to watch anime about cute girls where you know no one dies, you should watch a cgdct series.

CGDCT, that's my first time hearing the term. I can't say I get the appeal, actually? Anime girls are generically cute, but that in itself isn't very interesting IMO. I get appeal of "moe" but very few characters trigger that for me. Other than moe Nico Yazawa is extremely adorable in a very entertaining way and I STILL need to watch love live.

I mean, I'm fine when cute girls are doing the killing but don't get hurt themselves (and like this to a disturbing degree) especially yanderes and yangires. Cute girls can never do anything wrong.

^sometimes just watching people do things is fun and/or relaxing. cgdct is also good for comedy. specifically for you, I'd recommend a series that just finished about a week ago, "Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san"/"Ms. Koizumi Loves Ramen Noodles" (or something like that, I don't really remember)

I almost didn't finish the first episode of Magical Girl Site because
Spoiler.
I'm extraordinarily sensitive about animals (especially cats and dogs) being hurt.
I'd like to second the recommendation of Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san/Ms. Koizumi Loves Ramen Noodles. It's basically food porn with some extremely light yuri undertones. If you don't like the sounds of people eating (which I usually hate, but didn't mind this time), it might not be for you. Also, some of the reactions to the food will straight up sound like porn, so watch with headphones.

Sidenote: I've always found the translation of "-san" to Miss or Mister to be awkward. It's the closest equivalent, but it sounds very weird in English.

BotW is not great. I'd place it above the first two Zeldas and maybe a couple of the side games, but that's it.

I think it's one of the better games in the series. I can understand enjoyment varying wildly though.
