Once in a blue moon...

Post by Heroine of the Dragon » Wed Dec 27, 2017 10:44 pm

...if you've ever said this, be prepared to follow through in January 2018 as it will experience a blue moon. ;)

The first full moon in January 1/2 and the second, the blue moon, is January 31... which incidentally is also a total lunar eclipse and will probably look red. But Aussies love to call some red things 'blue', so it works. :p

Also some interesting facts about blue moons... they almost always occur in months that have 31 days to them. They have plenty of superstitions surrounding them. And, they are associated with romance. :D

^Never had it. I hear the flavour is mysterious.

^^If full moons are roughly 29-30 days apart, it makes sense they'd be most common in months with 31 days-------------------more wiggle room. Plus more months with 31 days than 30. (No blue moons in February. Haha. February stinks.)
boo------------------------------mister nonexistent
