Fact: I haven't left my house for grocery shopping in over four months.

I still prefer to grocery-shop myself so I can check expiration dates, ripeness, et cet.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I do my own grocery shopping because using a delivery service not only incurs a fee, but I don't get to use coupons.

I do my own grocery shopping because I work in a grocery store. It would be profoundly asinine to order groceries from home. Unless I were trying to creepily inveigle one of the Clicklist gals into coming inside or something. I'd come to the door in my ratty flannel pajama pants and hideously mismatched flannel smoking jacket. 'Hey. I see you've brought me my twenty tins of sardines and two bags of Funyuns. Wanna eat 'em together whilst watching ponies? I've got generic Diet Mountain Dew. I could show you my LEGO pirate ships, or my ten boxes of Magic the Gathering cards. Here, you take the recliner, pet---------I'll have the anvil. Please, sit and entertain me.' Is there enough pepper spray in the world?

also solidly in the 'do my own grocery shopping because don't want to pay a fee' boat. that said, relatable sentiment.

Relatable as heck. Shopping at a brick-and-mortar store can be fun if you're doing it with a friend, just for whimsy's sake. But like, when I broke my tap-knife two weeks back...I wouldn't have even known where to buy another. It would have been a chore. Got chores enow at work and home without adding a shlep to True Value or Home Depot or heaven-help-us else in. Thankfully Amazon had my back, as they often do.

No price is too great for being an antisocial shut-in.
