Let's see...

For 9 Volt and 18 Volt you just have to stay on top of items. Once you kill the Sheriff, it's a lot easier. Until I remembered you can kill Assist Trophies it was understandably difficult.

For Dr. Wily I used Falco. His reflector is counted as an attack so most of the time the metal Megamen didn't have a counter for it. When they did I rolled to the other side of the stage and continued spamming.

...I'm gonna be honest, I had no real issue with Metal Gear REX? By that point I had something with Metal Killer, Franklin Badge equipped and characters that can wreck house so aside from like a couple resets I can't really remember a strategy I did.

Finally, Victini... All I did was bait the Final Smash out, make Incineroar miss with it then beat him normal. There's no way I can see that has you take Victini from him as, aside from one instance, he instantly throws the ball down the second the fight starts.

I'm finding a love for these matches, if only because each one fits the character you get from it. There's a bit of creativity in each one even if its a little subtle sometimes.

For the Volt battle you basically need to KO Sheriff in the first 5 seconds or you'll get overwhelmed. I instantly KOed him at the start of the match with Giant DK+Assist Killer+forward air. For Doctor Wahwee I'd recommend equipping a Spirit that heals you when you get a KO, it makes the battle free alongside Metal Killer.

yeah, you guys have a lot more Spirits than I do, apparently. And it sounds like you're using them more effectively. I honestly just don't really have the patience to equip them or optimize them, so I haven't been messing with them that much.

I'm having more fun with Classic Mode overall. I'm still doing World of Light because the references and scenarios are really cute, but I have no burden of conscience just lowering the difficulty to get through it.

i never spent a whole lot of time with spirit management, i just waited until i got some three-slot primaries in all three types, then threw on whatever supports worked best for the battle in question.

You only really need specialized teams for a few 3/4 star battles. For most fights you can just press the Y button to autopick spirits to use and then go to town.

I haven't looked that up at all, what does it mean to "get into elite smash"?

basically when you get a high enough gsp online you graduate to ELITE SMASH where you fight other opponents at a high level. the devs then use these matches as data for balance changes.

Does the GSP there come from Quickplay matches?

Has anyone been getting any input delay problems when using a Wii U GC controller adapter? Its something I've been noticing, especially on matches with high difficulty CPUs, and its agitating the absolute crap out of me. It really makes me not want to play this game anymore.

^Huh. Seems like it should be the opposite; a wired controller should always have less lag.
Did a search, & this is apparently a known issue, but Nintendo already has troubleshooting for it.

Cleaned out the World Tour, got everything from Bowser's Fortress except for Ho-oh, got everything from the Temple of Light except for the beam-sword trio, & rescued every fighter west of the fissure. Good times.

I read that there's more delay in SSBU than previous entries, with SSBM having the lowest (unsure about N64).
