thinking about all the characters i wanna play in this game that are all gonna end up being low tier

except maybe the belmonts bc i cant imagine they wont be scrub killers in at least the first month or so

I am ready for King K. Rool to be a clunky piece of apes*** hanging out with Ganondorf and Bowser at the bottom. Too bad too, I really wanted to have him in the game but never thought through how he'd compare competitively.

I at least hope Dark Samus might alleviate some of my issues with Samus. The weird delay on rockets seems like it could have been useful in prior games and in team but with what seems to be a conscious push to promote offensive play I think it may actually be a detriment. Idk.

Armor mechanics seems unique, I don't think many characters have good ones, so that's neat.

KingFoe on YouTube scored us some Classic mode gameplay:


Takeaways:
--Original format instead of the Beyblade or CYOA crud from Smash 4
--Giga Bowser instead of Master Hand (but it's still an HP fight)
--Difficulty appears to increase as you progress (not 100% sure on that; this footage is edited)
--I don't know what the mural means
--Fake Smash Balls can do ya dirty by blocking recovery paths
--RACE TO THE FINISH IS BACK

Giga Bowser might be exclusive to Mario characters considering how Classic Mode works.

Here's Duck Hunt's boss.

If they're going down the predestined-roster-per-character route that bugged me so much in Brawl, then there better be a boss rush again so there's at least SOME way for every character to face off against every boss.....and if there's a boss rush, it better have freaking continues this time.
