Stage of the Month #72: Where Happy Little Bluebirds Fly

Post by CaptHayfever » Fri Nov 10, 2017 2:49 pm

RAINBOW ROAD

Source: Mario Kart series
Appears in: Smash 4 3DS
Home characters: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Yoshi, Wario, Rosaluma, Bowser Jr., Doc

Availability: Starter
Type: Metamorphic
Hazards: Karts, Track, Trampoline

Music:
"Rainbow Road Medley"
"Rainbow Road (Mario Kart 7)"

Trivia:
--This edition of Rainbow Road is based on the one from Mario Kart 7, though Rainbow Roads have appeared as the final course in every Mario Kart game.
--Shy Guy racers first appeared in Mario Kart DS, where they were the default avatar for online players who didn't have their own copy of the game. MK7 was the first time Shy Guys were selectable characters.

It's essentially Mute City, but with Shy Guy karts instead of F-Zero ships. And it's in Technicolor!

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

this is one of those stages where i really wish you could turn off hazards bc it's a really neat stage aesthetically and i love traveling stages but not so much a fan of being hit by cars

at least its better than brawl's mario kart stage

I find the best strategy for not getting hit by cars is moving out of the way when cars are coming.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
