Xbox 360 Free* on Black Friday
GameStop is offering pre-owned Xbox 360s for $59.99 with $59.99 mail-in rebate in the form of a pre-paid Visa card. I never bothered with it originally, but that sounds tempting. Xbox One has incomplete backward compatibility, and I'm sure I could pick up some cheap games to go along with it. If nothing else, a backup controller for PC is nice. So much easier than messing with PlayStation controllers.
Now I know there's a reason you shouldn't blame others when you do something wrong, and that reason is: you might get caught and have to apologize to a bunch of dumb peasants.

For that price I'd say go for it. I'm not the expert on 360 but there's probably a few games worth trying out on it and if all else fails you can probably get Halo Reach or something like that. I don't know.

Holy carp, that's tempting. Ain't a chance that I'd actually get one, though.

That's a really exciting offer, hopefully folks will be reasonable about it.

Reading some of the reviews on their pre-owned systems, I guess they don't test them. That doesn't surprise me. I also skipped the Gamecube, but then I bought a few dozen games when they clearanced their whole stock, 15% of which did not work. Still, not much risk for basically free, but there is some likelihood of getting a dud.
